Our Aims
When our pupils leave Crossways they should have:

Our School
Crossways Junior School was opened in 1973. The two storey building is set in fantastic grounds and houses eight bright classrooms, a large, attractive and multifunctional hall and a spacious and well stocked, computerised library.
We have a static computer suite containing 23 computers, plus 16 wi-fi laptops for class use. In addition we have a further 2 computers and an interactive whiteboard in each classroom. Our double Elliot classroom provides additional specialised teaching areas.
Within the main building we have a stimulating reading corner and several small rooms used for small group activities. In addition in the centre of the school we have a delightful courtyard area with a well-stocked pond.
Our beautiful grounds are stocked with over 1500 trees and mature shrubs, a pond and wildlife area, an adventure playground, trim trail, football pitches and a quiet area. In addition we have a large marked hard-core playground.
As you may imagine our grounds provide many opportunities for environmental, science and sporting activities, all of which are exploited to the full, and it is not difficult to see why our children are so stimulated and how they have achieved Silver Level Eco- Schools status. As a school we are also proud to be holders of the Schools for Health award.
