Hillcrest Diary 2

Tuesday

After a hearty breakfast, all groups set about their activities for the day. The trapeze seemed to be the hit of the day, with all groups (except sharks) having to face this challenge of all challenges. We are delighted to announce that Hillcrest has never seen such nimble and fearless children. Everyone bravely had a go, with some children
(Daisy and Cameron especially) reaching the trapeze in lightening speed. Even the adults were 100% successful this year! Mr Booker got the pole rocking to start with, closely followed be Mrs Collett - who went back for seconds! Mrs Bess felt the pressure to perform ? and succeeded, after such a dismal attempt last year. This was rounded off by Mrs Jenkins? acrobatic performance. Never has the trapeze seen so many trembling legs!
The Challenge course provided much mud and water for Dolphins and Eels. Ashley and Callum managed to get the muddiest, and several showers later, they were back to their clean and tidy selves. The same cannot be said for their clothes!
The Zip Wire proved popular with the sharks, with Rosanna performing her second go backwards! Max led the way in his group during the archery session scoring bullseyes left, right and centre. Some of the Dolphins had a rather sluggish start to their fencing activity, but soon rose to challenge. However, later on, James B proved he was Zorro in disguise, when he took on his fellow eels.
