11 Mar 2008 - Book Week a huge success!

There was plenty of book related fun and games to be had as Crossways embraced the Spring Book Week.

Various activities and competitions were enjoyed throughout the week, including a Big Writing short story competition, design a book token competition, the very well-received extreme reading contest (ask the children!) and of course the opportunity to dress up as a favourite book character. Many still had difficulty identifying Mr Booker's BFG costume, despite it being the third time he's wheeled it out!

The Book Fayre was well supported, with nearly £200 worth of new books able to be bought for the school - look out for these on display soon!

Many thanks to Mrs Elmore and Mrs Montgomery in particular, who both put in a great deal of effort to the week's proceedings.
